Marcia Fossey (Edmonton, AB) is a Professional Home Economist with a B.Sc. in Home Economics (Clothing and Textiles). Marcia owns and operates Ponderosa Designs, a home based business she started in 1992 while living in Whitehorse, Yukon. In 1997 Marcia and her family moved to Edmonton and Ponderosa Designs has flourished since that time.

Many of her inspirations for her Historical Bead Jewellery come from her love of the Pacific Northwest First Nations Culture developed while in Whitehorse. Over time her designs have grown to include jewelry made from Vintage Glass beads (primarily from the 1920’s and 1930’s), and modern pendants that she combines with antique seed beads.

Marcia travels the world to source unique and beautiful art pieces to use in her jewelry and has recently started using Ancient Glass pieces from Israel and Meteorite pendants in her designs to create living pieces of history. Marcia's work can be viewed at a number of prominent museum shops & galleries across Canada.
