Terri Millinoff

 Terri Millinoff (Calgary, AB) earned an undergraduate degree in geology with an emphasis in geochemistry, an education that has supported her ongoing interest in naturally sourced materials. Meshing this science background with her ceramics practice has provided Terri an overwhelming interest in exploring both form and function and how they relate. For Terri, a successful piece both performs well and is beautiful; beautiful not only as an object, but because it functions beautifully.

Spending most of her adult life in Western Canada with a home in Calgary, Terri explores remote areas during summer and winter, in British Columbia, Nunavut, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Her observations of the details found in the natural environment continue to influence her work with clay and light.
