Gift Wrapping

We offer an assortment of attractive giftwrapping.  Artist bios are provided with each purchase.  For special events, such as conference and retirement gifts, we can provide customized bios, tags, and wrapping. 

Return and Exchange Policy

If you are not entirely satisfied with your Fine Craft artwork, the Alberta Craft Council will gladly exchange or issue a credit note for your purchase.  Please present your till receipt or gift receipt with the item within 30 days of original purchase.  Only exchanges with receipts or gift receipts with be honored.

All exchanges must be returned unused in their original purchase condition, with the original packing material, and any other item or accessory provided by the artist.  In the event that a returned craftwork has items missing, is damaged or broken, or if the item has become broken due to misuse or as a result of adapting it for something outside of its intended use, the exchange may be refused.

If you find that you received your purchase damaged, please contact us immediately. If the error is ours, we will gladly exchange the product for you or provide a credit for any future purchase. Special orders and custom-made items cannot be exchanged or returned. Deposits on special orders and custom-made items cannot be exchanged or refunded.

Holiday Exchanges

We know that holiday gifts may be purchased before the beginning of December and will exceed the 30 day time frame in which to exchange an item. Items that are purchased during November & December can be exchanged or returned up until January 31st for store credit only. A valid receipt or gift receipt is required for all exchanges and returns.

Shipping

Holiday Order Deadlines for Pick-up, Shipping & Delivery

For your convenience, we can ship anywhere in Canada and the United States only.  We may discourage shipping of items that are extremely fragile or over-sized. Although we will do our best to pack your purchase to increase the odds of a successful journey, we cannot guarantee safe passage. As a result, your purchase and shipping and handling (S&H) charges are non-refundable.  Additional insurance may be purchased through the carrier and claims for damage are the responsibility of the purchaser. If you are travelling with your purchase or wish to handle the shipping yourself we would be happy to pack your purchase for you. 

To ensure that purchases being sent to PO boxes and rural route addresses get to their proper destination, please be sure to provide a physical street address or highway number and phone number.
Carriers usually deliver between 8 am and 5 pm local time. If you are not home to accept delivery, a delivery notification card with further details and a pick up location will be provided. For your own security, please bring proper photo identification when you pick up your purchase.

To give you the best possible service, we usually use Canada Post for shipping. Please specify If you prefer another mode of delivery.  Deliveries to major centers within Canada by Expedited Parcel are usually one to seven business days.  Deliveries to major centers within Canada by Xpresspost are usually next day to two business days.  The ACC cannot guarantee these delivery time as all deliveries are subject to the schedule of the delivery company.

Special Orders

Special orders and custom purchases are dependent on the schedule of the artist.  A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before production and allow for a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks before completion.  Design fees may apply and are determined by the artist.  If samples are required for approval by the customer before production, each sample will be included as an additional cost to the customer. 

The Alberta Craft Council and the craft artist(s) will do their best to match agreed specifications of the ordered items (such as color, finish, shape and dimensions). When entering into a special or custom order it is understood that these items are hand crafted and with that there may be reasonable variances on the finished product.

Taxes

Customers purchasing from and shipping to the United States are not subject to Canadian taxes. All other customers will be charged 5% GST.  US customers shopping in Canada can apply to the Canada Revenue Agency for a refund of the GST paid on purchase (CRA - Point of Sale Rebate).

Privacy

The ACC complies with PIPA (Personal Information Protection Act) in an effort to maintain the security of its members and clients.  If you are interested in contacting one of our members, artists, consigning artists or staff, we will gladly take your information and forward it to the person or party you would like to contact.
