Kudos: ACC Member Julia Reimer Created Award for the Dunlap Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics

ACC Members Firebrand Glass Studio (Julia Reimer & Tyler Rock) created an award for the Dunlap Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics. There was an international competition to design the award and Julia Reimer's submission won. The piece is comprised of different glass shapes that create lenses, these lenses have been combined to create a holographic effect.

This spring Julia & Tyler will be in France teaching a workshop at Cerfav. The workshop will explore making sculptural work using production techniques. They will continue on to an artist residency at Glazenhuis, a glass museum in Belgium. Follow their glass adventure on their blog and our Facebook page.
