Kudos: Tony Bloom Part of First Prize Winning Float in Parade - Grande Prairie, AB

Tyler, Willie, Tony, and Milo (left to right)ACC member Tony Bloom's (Stonecrop Studio) kinetic and acoustic Landbuoy sculptures were towed on a flat deck trailer as the The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie's float in Grande Prairie's 100th anniversary Canada Day Parade.

Each of four large aluminum or steel sculptures were played by The Brothers Bloom and Bang-Bang (Tony, Willie, and Milo Bloom, and Tyler Goin) costumed as ...well, as urban Hawaiian rodeo clowns, apparently. For over 2-1/2 hours the quartet played the tympanic sculptures to the delight and sometimes bafflement of the throngs lining the street -- and was awarded first prize!
