George Heagle and Chris Kubash Completes Commission for Concordia University

Chris Kubash helped George Heagle in his shop with a commission for Concordia University College.  This included chairs, a podium, a kneeler and a lectern.  These furniture pieces were used in their recent convocation ceremonies.

The Alberta Craft Council (ACC) is the Provincial Arts Service Organization that develops, promotes, and advocates for fine craft in Alberta.

The Alberta Craft Council acknowledges that Alberta is home to many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for generations. Those of us joining from Alberta are on the traditional lands, referred to as Treaty 6, 7 and 8 Territories, and all of us are beneficiaries of these treaties. The Alberta Craft Council is dedicated to ensuring that the spirit of these treaties are honoured and respected. We hope that as individuals you join us in committing to learning, listening, reflecting, and taking actionable steps in truth and reconciliation. And by celebrating and supporting the creativity of Indigenous Crafts people.
