Pat Borecky (Comox, BC) is a fibre artist who designs innovative wearable art, landscape art quilts and fibre collages. Her passion for colour, imagery and pattern is evident in the way she combines fabrics to create her works of art. Her free-form techniques involve recycling, layering, fusing, thread-painting, and embellishing.

Her fabric paintings range in size from miniature art cards to large-scale wall hangings for public spaces. Pat’s strength lies in selecting unusual colours and patterns in fabrics and combining them to design her landscape collages.

In 1998 and 2002 Pat won the Award of Excellence in Wearable Art Design from the Canadian Quilt Association for her thread-painting technique and her "Scraps to Riches” technique of recycling natural fabrics. She also travels internationally to teach workshops and judge quilt shows.
