Join the Alberta Craft Calgary Gallery in celebrating our newest SPOTLIGHT exhibition by Patrick Moskwa
“Haptic Bodies”
This new body of work brings Patrick’s sculptural practice into the haptic realm of jewellery. These experiments are a way to explore the dynamic relationship we have with the spaces, objects and humans around us.
Patrick has worked with leather jewellery and accessories for many years, and tries to achieve similar dynamics
Learn More About Patrick Moskwa
Patrick Moskwa received an MFA in Craft Media from the Alberta University of the Arts in 2022, and a B.Arch from Carleton in 2002.
His work explores the dynamic relationships we have with objects, the spaces we occupy, and how our bodies interact. He expresses the ways his queer body creates friction between other bodies, human and otherwise. Patrick is observant of the fragility of things, and uses this tension to explore way in which our bodies take up space.
Patrick has been working in the architecture discipline for 23 years before engaging craft as an exploration of his architecture practice.
