Connie Cooper (Calgary, AB) is a graduate of the Alberta College of Art + Design, majoring in ceramics, with a minor in painting. Her colourful glaze palette and decorative carved elements combine her backgrounds in both mediums.

Connie maintained a part-time studio practice while working as a teacher, a ceramic instructor and as a ceramic studio technician at Calgary’s Wildflower Art Centre. A pottery tour to England and Wales during 2005 proved to be an enriching and influential experience. When she returned to Calgary, Connie made the transition to full time studio work to focus on creating her colourful line of functional ceramics.
