Potluck is an exhibition of works from six artists of the Nina Collective, a group of Edmonton artists working in the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts studios. Each artist incorporates motifs from the natural world into their expressive works, depicting flora, fauna and fungi through either organic or orderly repetitive elements in the thematic designs. What results are colourful, richly pattern-filled, ceramic, mosaic and fibre objects and an exuberant exhibition full of magical details to delight in. Please join Alberta Craft to celebrate Potluck, on exhibit in our Edmonton Discovery Gallery from July 27 – September 14, 2024.
The free public opening reception will take place on Saturday July 27 from 2-4pm, all are welcome.
Participating Artists:
Amanda Bauer, Gerald Bourlon, Montana Phillip, Jared Quinney, Holly Sabourin, Vanessa Ryl
The Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts (pronounced N-eye-nah) is a nonprofit art studio and gallery where artists with developmental and other disabilities create and share their work. Over 200 artists make up the Nina Collective, working in painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, and more. We believe that all people have the right to achieve their highest potential, which includes the right to creative expression, and are committed to providing artistic opportunities for artists who face barriers.
