In Symptomatology, Fern’s hand woven series puts into threads her experience of a later in life ADHD diagnosis. Thousands of inches of handwoven tubes are sculpted into contrasting visuals of cognitive states, while panels of double weave pick-up explore dualities of childhood, progress and neurodiversity. The works are self referential to weaving, exploring its impact upon the weaver in both brain and body.
