About the Artist:

Jessica Fern Facette (Fern, she/her) is a fibre artist based in Edmonton, Alberta. Since childhood, Fern has been exploring textiles and eventually discovered weaving, the process that captured her. Her formal study has taken place in Peru, the Olds College Master Weaver Program, Los Angeles, Alberta University for the Arts and the Edmonton Weavers Guild. Fern's weavings have exhibited at Enterprise Square Galleries, Toronto Fashion Week, Alberta Craft Council, Edmonton International Airport, Latitude 53 and the Palestine Film Festival. She has initiated growth in the textile community by founding Fern’s School of Craft, a space where fibre artists from across Canada meet to carry on the long tradition of sharing knowledge.
