In this hands-on, beginner-friendly class, you'll transform a plain basswood plaque into a stunning piece of art featuring a picture of your choice. Unleash your creativity as you dive into exciting techniques like linework, shading, and adding cool textures!

But that’s not all! We'll also embark on a thrilling adventure through the fascinating history of pyrography—the art of storytelling through heat and wood that has enchanted cultures around the globe for centuries.

This workshop is for ages 14+

About your instructor: Jennifer Park is inspired by nature and collects rocks, fossils, sticks, shells, bones, feathers, tadpoles, and treasures. She has a BFA with a major in Sculpture and ceramics from Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary.
