From the first time she lowered a glass rod into the heat of the torch, bead making has been a meditative practice of creation. Each studio session offers Leanne fresh challenges and opportunities, and the work embodies her artistic blend of purposeful, patterned intention with playful experimentation.

“I gravitate to bold colours, clean lines and the contemporary energy of pop art.” Reminiscent of George Jetson’s retro-modernity, Leanne’s organic glass forms play with colour, line, space and shadow. Leanne currently resides in Red Deer, Alberta and has participated in several juried shows and is currently a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers and the Glass Art Society.
